If you’ve always loved Alice in Wonderland, still quote the Queen of Hearts on bad days or dream of a wedding that’s more “curiouser and curiouser” than traditional, keep reading! This bold, imaginative styled shoot proves that whimsy and romance can absolutely go hand in hand – and look ridiculously good doing it. Here, Holly from Fedora Media describes all the fun, colourful details of how this Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding came to life (literally).
Floral fantasy:
In Wonderland, flowers don’t just bloom; they sing, dance and tell stories. This couple embraced this theme, leaning into the fantastical with the venue adorned in vibrant and colourful blooms. The tablescape became a feast for the eyes, skirted with mossy chairs, decked in mismatched teacups and colourful treats that looked almost too whimsical to eat.
No Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding would be complete without a showstopping cake. A tiered moss cake was made extra fabulous with flowers bursting through the side in a riot of colour. It became not just a dessert but a centrepiece – a lush, magical creation that looked as though it was plucked straight from Wonderland itself, giving guests the sensation they’d tumbled down the rabbit hole into a dreamscape.
The Alice bride:
The bride herself became the embodiment of Wonderland, stepping into the role of Alice with grace and enchantment. She dazzled in a sparkling baby-blue dress, reminiscent of Alice’s iconic attire, yet elevated with shimmering fabric that caught the light, adding a touch of fairytale magic.
Her long, blond hair was softly tamed, adorned with a delicate bow that whispered of innocence and curiosity. Flawless and subtle makeup allowed her natural beauty to shine, creating a striking contrast to the luscious multicoloured bouquet she carried. Each bloom burst with vibrant hues, and nestled among the petals was a playful peek of playing cards – a whimsical nod to the Queen of Hearts and the madcap adventures awaiting her.

The Mad Hatter groom:
What would an Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding be without the Mad Hatter himself? This Groom embraced the eccentric style by donning a tailored jacket with tails, a pop of bright colour in his vest and a whimsical top hat adorned with feathers and playing cards. Sparkling shoes with contrasting socks and a colourful floral boutonniere completed the look. The result? A groom who captured the heart with both love and laughter.
The rabbit officiant:
Hop to It! Imagine the guests’ delight when the officiant made her entrance, channelling the White Rabbit himself. Dressed in an all-white ensemble, she embodied the rabbit’s iconic look while bringing a sense of order to this upside-down world. The rabbit officiant brought humour and heart. Her opening line echoed the iconic, “I’m late! I’m late!” as she rushed to begin the ceremony, ensuring everything ran on time in true White Rabbit fashion.
The Whimsy:
With whimsical details, vibrant colours and just a touch of Mad Hatter magic, two immersive experiences helped capture the playful and surreal atmosphere of this fairytale celebration, much like Alice’s adventure. The 360 video booth transported guests into a dreamlike world where they became the stars of their own story, one twirl at a time. With the interactive mirror-style photo booth, guests stepped up to a looking glass that responded to their touch, guiding them through a whimsical photo experience. These enchanting and playful experiences allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in the fantastical theme, creating mesmerizing memories straight out of Wonderland itself.
Alice in Wonderland-themed weddings invite couples and guests alike to embrace the unexpected, celebrate the curious and delight in the absurd. It’s a theme that reminds everyone that love is its own kind of magic – unpredictable, enchanting and full of adventure. As the couple stepped hand-in-hand into their new life together, they knew they created a day that was, as the Cheshire Cat would say, “entirely bonkers.” But then again, all the best weddings are.
